The Government of Yucatán has set up a Christmas Village in Gran Parque La Plancha, Mérida, offering a festive experience for Yucatecan families.
Governor Joaquin Diaz Mena, along with his wife Wendy Mendez Naal, honorary president of the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) Yucatán, inaugurated the Christmas Village. The Governor highlighted that this event marks the beginning of the Christmas season, a time for joy, unity, and hope.
Opening Hours
The Christmas Village is open to the public every day in December from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It is located near the flagpole area of La Plancha, and entry is free for everyone.
Shows and Performances
The Christmas Village features the “Gran Fiesta del Polo Norte” show, presented on Saturdays and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. Additionally, schools interested in performing nativity plays or Christmas shows can contact the Government Palace at 999-930-3100 to arrange performances for park visitors.
