Two men were shot dead on Tuesday when they were leaving a hotel in San Cristóbal, police sources reported.
They explained that the events occurred at noon on Leona Vicario Street, located in the Guadalupe neighborhood, when the victims were putting their suitcases in a vehicle to leave.
They added that the attackers, at least three, allegedly fled on a motorcycle, in front of the eyes of some people who were at the place.
They indicated that shortly after, municipal police officers arrived and agreed on the area, and later a Public Ministry agent showed up to order the removal of the bodies and transfer them to the Forensic Medical Service for the legal autopsy.
They commented on instructions from Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar, the Secretary of Public Security, Óscar Alberto Aparicio Avendaño and the Attorney General of the State, Jorge Luis Llaven Abarca, also attended.
As of Tuesday night, the victims had not been identified.
