Under the theme “500 Years of Culture and Traditions,” Querétaro residents and visitors enjoyed the Traditional Christmas Parade 2024, which featured 10 floats that displayed the wealth, roots, folklore and heritage of Querétaro.
With favorable weather, Querétaro residents and visitors gathered at 7:00 p.m. on the corner of Corregidora and Ángela Peralta streets to enjoy the traditional Parade. The first float was led by Victoria II, who was accompanied by the fanfares of Maestro Iván Rangel and a group of harlequins.

Carriages 3 and 4 evoked the 500 years of the arrival of the Franciscans to Mexico and the majesty of the Sierra Gorda Querétaro, respectively. The second of them had the animation of a huapanguero trio, which filled the festive atmosphere of the Historic Center with music and joy.
The car dedicated to the Marquis of the Villa del Villar del Águila stood out for the representation of the life of the illustrious character, while the Typical Ensemble “Tonalli Salterios” filled the air with its traditional music.
The parade representing the “200 Years of the State of Querétaro” paid tribute to the history of the state of Querétaro, with the participation of the Music Band and the Dance group “Banda de Serra”, wearing the typical costumes of the 18 municipalities.
Churros, fried foods, tamales and atole were some of the products offered by merchants, who benefited from the purchases made by those attending the parade.
Parade number 7 recalled the 100 years of the Querétaro International Fair, accompanied by music by the Trío Norteño and a contingent of jugglers. Next, the parade dedicated to the “70th Anniversary of the Gallos Blancos” paraded with the team and players’ cheering band, while the kids from the Football Academy displayed the talent and passion that continue to fuel the sports club.
The float of the “65th Anniversary of Comedians of La Legua” advanced with great splendor, marking the closing of the parade, which culminated with the float of the “Patronato de las Fiestas”, which dazzled with vibrant music, a riot of color and a spectacular display of luminous alebrijes, accompanied by the traditional Rooster of Hercules, while the launch of confetti filled the attendees with emotion and joy.
Contingents of clowns, Mexican dancers, mojigangas, stilt walkers, angels, as well as other cultural expressions animated the visitors, captivating them and filling the Historic Center with laughter, cheers and overflowing joy.
