In the run-up to the New Year celebrations, in two different armed attacks, three people lost their lives in different parts of the municipality of San Miguel de Allende.
The first armed attack was recorded during the course of the morning of this Monday in the Santa Cruz de la Paz neighborhood, on Amilion Street, where it was first reported by nearby neighbors to the 911 emergency system after hearing several gunshots.
Public Security elements arrived at the scene, seeing a man and a woman with no vital signs and with various bullet impacts on their bodies, and the site was cordoned off and secured.
Shooting in Jardines II subdivision
Later, during the course of the afternoon, in another armed attack recorded in the Jardines II subdivision, on Pasero Alameda Street, a man was shot down by two people who, without saying a word, fired a firearm at him.
In both cases, agents from the State Attorney General’s Office and the Criminal Investigation Agency began processing the scene.
They also carried out the collection of ballistic evidence, after finding spent shells in the area.
These tests will be included in the investigation file, in order to determine the motive for the armed attacks, as well as to locate the alleged perpetrators.
Finally, the three bodies were removed by personnel from the Forensic Medical Service.
