Mazatlan closed 2024 with a private investment of 45,636 million pesos in the tourism-real estate, housing, commercial and industrial sectors, revealed Celia Jáuregui Ibarra.

The director of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries of Mazatlán highlighted that in the year that just ended, Sinaloa had a private investment of around 80 billion pesos, and of this, more than 50 percent remained in the port.

“Without a doubt, Mazatlán, judging by the numbers that real estate developers shared with us, continues to be a very important and attractive area for investment, without a doubt,” she said.

She commented that according to the figures provided by the Association of Real Estate Developers of Mazatlán, investors bet on tourism-real estate development (condominiums for vacation rentals and hotels) with more than 29 billion pesos.

Jáuregui Ibarra added that in the housing sector, the investment was 11 thousand 057 million pesos; in the commercial sector $4 thousand 043 million, while in the industrial sector the destined investors reached 1 thousand 022 million pesos.

She highlighted that in the last two months, Mayor Estrella Palacios Domínguez, authorized four Certificates of Fiscal Promotion of the State of Sinaloa (Ceprofies), for four new developments that are already in process, with an investment of 1 thousand 700 million pesos.

The municipal official highlighted that the investment in real estate developments, as well as the arrivals of cruise ships, are thermometers that mark what is the situation that is lived in Mazatlán in terms of perception and in the area of ​​opportunity.
