Last Wednesday, November 1, the body of boxer Roberto Tamayo González was found lifeless in a vacant lot in the Casa Real subdivision, in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora.
According to information from local media, the neighbors of the lot reported to the emergency number the presence of a lifeless man.
Municipal police officers and personnel from the Navy arrived at the scene, who confirmed that the man had no vital signs.
The victim had bullet wounds and next to the body was a cardboard with the following legend: “Happy New Year, you f***ing Salazar,” said message was signed under the alias of “El Terror.”
The victim was identified as Roberto Tamayo González thanks to the collaboration with the boxer’s family. So far there is no information about those responsible for his death.
In a video posted on social networks, it can be seen how “El Gallo” was laid to rest. As coffin guards were some young people in their boxing uniforms, apparently students, who performed some combinations typical of the discipline.
