The lifeless body of a foreign man, aged between 40 and 45, was discovered near the Tulum-Boca Paila state highway, close to the Aldea Zamá complex. The discovery was reported at 11:30 AM on Friday through the 911 emergency number after a passerby entered the forest and found the hanging body.
According to initial reports, the witness entered the forest to relieve himself and stumbled upon the body, prompting an immediate call for help. Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene and, after walking approximately 100 meters through the undergrowth, located the body.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, and it is unclear whether he was a tourist or a resident of Tulum.
