Cruise ships leave an economic impact of 675 million pesos in the port of Mazatlán; 143 vessels will arrive during 2025

The 122 tourist cruises that touched the port of Mazatlán had a flow of 470,618 visitors who enjoyed the crafts, the gastronomy, the beauty of the beaches and the magical towns, and generated an economic spill of 675 million pesos (mdp).

Mireya Sosa Osuna, Secretary of Tourism of the State, explained that for this year there is a projection of a significant growth in the flow of cruise passengers. Only in this first month of 2025, the first 14 large tourist vessels are already scheduled.

She announced that it has been confirmed that, this year, 143 cruises will visit Mazatlán, which implies that this destination has become attractive due to the services provided to visitors, the variety of foods and places to visit during their short stay.

He commented that the mobility of visitors by air to the Pearl of the Pacific increased by 16.5% compared to 2023 and the one million 800 thousandth passenger was received, who was given a warm welcome at the international airport.

Sosa Osuna explained that the last quarter of 2024 was the strongest of the cruise season, with a visit in this period of 47 tourist vessels, 12 of them arrived in the month of October, 17 docked in November and December closed with 18, three of them arrived in the last days of the year.
