Tragic Bar Shooting in Villahermosa Leaves 5 Dead, 7 Injured

An armed attack at a bar in Villahermosa, Tabasco, resulted in the deaths of five people and injuries to seven others on the night of Saturday, January 4. The incident was confirmed by Fernando Vázquez Rosas, the spokesman for the Government of the State of Tabasco.

The attack took place at “La Casita Azul,” a bar located at the intersection of Méndez and Iturbide streets in the Tamulté de las Barrancas neighborhood, an area known for its bars and taverns. Gunmen opened fire on patrons, causing chaos and devastation.

Authorities are working to identify the perpetrators using security video footage from cameras in the capital. State and federal security forces have launched a search operation to apprehend those responsible.

The injured victims are receiving medical attention, and the area is now under control. The State Attorney General’s Office is conducting an investigation into the incident.
