The State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE), through its coordination with US institutions, managed to locate two minors who had an Amber Alert issued by the United States of America for their urgent location.

After receiving information about the minors, the children were located in a hotel in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, where they were in the company of their father, Esteban “N”.

Once located and their health status verified, the minors were placed under the protection of the Sonora DIF System, while communication was established with various entities such as the FBI legal attaché at the US consulate in Hermosillo, in order to carry out the corresponding procedures for them to return to their country of origin.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) of Sonora reiterated its commitment to collaborate with international authorities to guarantee the safety and well-being of minors from both Sonora and abroad.
