Two minors with an active Amber Alert in the United States were successfully located in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, in the company of their father, Esteban “N”. The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora (FGJES) reported that the discovery was made possible through close collaboration between Mexican and American authorities.
The minors were found in a hotel, and after confirming their health status, they were placed under the custody of the Sonora DIF System to ensure their well-being while legal procedures are carried out.
For their repatriation, the FGJES coordinated with the FBI’s legal attaché at the United States consulate in Hermosillo and other institutions.
