A man was killed and a woman was injured in an armed attack at a party that was taking place in a hotel in the municipality of Villa de Álvarez, early Saturday morning.
According to the first versions of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) of the state government, several armed men arrived at the facilities of the Hotel Montroy and opened fire on one of the attendees.
The murdered man was between 30 and 35 years old and received multiple gunshot wounds to different parts of his body.
A 23-year-old hostess was shot and was rushed to a hospital for medical attention.
The attendees took shelter between the tables and ran away after the attack; those responsible were not arrested despite a police operation that was carried out in the area.
Different shell casings were found at the scene and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has already begun investigations into what happened.
