During the first three months of the year, several works will be started in Saltillo, which seek to address mobility problems, as announced this Thursday by the state governor, Manolo Jiménez.

The state leader said that after talking with the mayor, Javier Díaz, it was agreed to begin an expansion of the road that leads from Saltillo to the industrial zone of Derramadero, a road that is used daily by more than 17 thousand motorists.

He said that mobility is one of the problems most pointed out by citizens, so in the first hundred days of the year, several works will be started, as well as modifications to some of the main boulevards and avenues of Saltillo.

“One of the most important projects in Saltillo is the mobility project, the public transportation project, and well, we are in solidarity with it because we know that an important part of a project of this nature requires a significant investment, so we hope that in these 100 days we will start the mobility and transportation project in Saltillo. Why? Well, to give our people better public transportation, which is one of the main requests of our people from the neighborhoods and ejidos of Saltillo,” said Governor Manolo Jiménez.
The state leader said that one of the demands of workers in the industrial zone of Derramadero, south of Saltillo, is to improve connectivity, so for several months, a permit was requested from the Ministry of Communications and Transportation so that the state can carry out an expansion project on the Saltillo-Zacatecas highway, which has already been granted.

Manolo Jiménez said that this road has a high traffic load, which increases when there are accidents on Highway 57, since traffic is diverted along the highway to Huachichil to Derramadero, so it is important to give it greater capacity to avoid saturation and risks for drivers.

He added that 95 percent of the ejidos of Saltillo are located south of the city and are connected through this road, so this road will benefit many people in these communities.

“It is one of the most important works for Saltillo, which will impact many people, positively, and also strengthens the competitiveness of our state,” said Manolo Jiménez.

Patrol cars are delivered to the police station

In the framework of the International Police Day, Governor Manolo Jiménez attended the roll call of elements of different security corporations in Saltillo, where he also delivered patrol cars to the Police Station for Security and Citizen Protection.

During the event, Manolo Jiménez pointed out that security will remain the main priority in the state, for which there will be coordinated work between all government agencies, and following a strategy based on prevention, proximity, intelligence and force.

“Two days before starting this 2025, all these patrol cars are being delivered in the state capital, and they are not conventional patrol cars, here they bring a special ingredient, where 25 completely electric patrol cars are being delivered, which is linked to the modernity of this national power that is Saltillo, and we are honoring what we represent at a national level, because we are the first producer of vehicles in all of Mexico, conventional vehicles, but also electric vehicles,” said the state governor.
