San Luis Potosí is set to open its highly anticipated Museum of Time in 2025, offering visitors a unique opportunity to travel back in time. Here’s what to expect from this innovative museum.
The Museum of Time will feature a wide variety of objects that transport visitors to different eras. Exhibits will include sound equipment from the 1940s, first-generation cell phones, classic cars, and much more.
Mario García Valdez, head of the San Luis Potosí Department of Culture, confirmed that the museum’s concept and contents are fully defined. The project is currently in the final planning stage, awaiting the decision on the location that will house this unique venue. Once the location is determined, the design and assembly of the facilities will begin, with the museum set to open to the public in 2025.
One of the museum’s standout features will be its interactive and collaborative nature. According to García Valdez, much of the collection will be formed through donations and loans of objects from the citizens themselves. The Museum of Time will not be a traditional museum; its interactive design will allow visitors to explore the exhibits dynamically and participatively.
Additionally, each exhibition will have a historical and social context, helping attendees understand how these artifacts shaped daily life in their respective eras. The Museum of Time promises to become a cultural and educational reference for both the state and the country.
