In a joint operation by the Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC) and the Mexican Navy (Semar), Jorge Alberto “N”, 32 years old, originally from the United States of America, was captured for possession of several doses of the narcotic “crystal”.
The action was carried out on January 7 on San Juan Street, in the Paraíso del Bosque neighborhood in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, when the joint operation detected the subject who tried to flee, however, he was caught by the elements.
During the inspection, 20 packages containing the synthetic drug were seized.
Subsequently, both the detainee and the evidence were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry agent assigned to the Early Care Center (CAT), where the corresponding legal processes will continue.
Jorge Alberto “N” has two arrest warrants in force in the United States of America for the crimes of human trafficking and drug possession, so his capture will be reported to the American authorities for his probable deportation.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) of Sonora reiterated its commitment to upholding legality, applying the law firmly and decisively, to guarantee the peace and well-being of citizens by working in a coordinated manner with security institutions of the three levels of government.
