Due to the weather conditions and gusts of wind that are being recorded in Mazatlán, the Port Authority reported that some maritime activities have been restricted, especially the use of parachutes and banana boats.

According to an official statement from the Municipal Public Security Secretariat, it was reported that the suspension of activities is focused on smaller vessels, recreational vessels and sport fishing vessels, whose objective is to prevent people who provide or receive the activity from putting themselves at risk when trying to perform some type of function.

On behalf of the Aquatic Rescue Squadron, Commander Alejandro Barrón Ureña reported that the Lifeguard personnel will reinforce the proximity and prevention routes with bathers so that they avoid entering to swim when the water reaches their waist, or that they are using inflatables, for which he recommended that they stay on the shore.

The head of the Aquatic Rescue Squadron warned that the waves will have variations in height averaging 1.70 meters in various beach areas, and he said that the conditions for Thursday could be similar.

It was reported that the corresponding authorities will maintain constant monitoring regarding the weather conditions to communicate in due time any change to prevent the citizens.
