Starting this Friday, highway users in Nayarit were faced with an increase in toll booth prices, as had been anticipated. This adjustment affected various routes in the state, which surprised motorists.

One of the most significant increases occurred at the toll booth on the Tepic – Guadalajara highway, located in the section known as the Plan de Barrancas. The cost of this toll went up from $288 to $305, which represents an increase of approximately 6%.

For its part, the Jala – Puerto Vallarta highway also experienced a variation in its rates. The most expensive toll booth on this route went from $455 to $483, which is equivalent to an increase of 6.2%. This adjustment is part of a series of increases that, according to motorists, range between 5% and 18%.

The increase in toll booth fees has sparked anger among drivers, who complain of the high costs, especially in times of unstable economy. However, authorities have reported that these adjustments are part of a regular review of fees on the region’s highways.
