During 2024, the state of Querétaro recorded the arrival of 7.5 million tourists, which represented an increase of 17% compared to the previous year. This was reported by the state Tourism Secretariat, with data from the Federal Tourism Secretariat.
According to the Datatur platform, the economic impact in the tourism sector was approximately 30 billion pesos, 36% more than the 22 billion reported in 2023.
In addition, hotel occupancy in the state remained at an average of 60%, which meant an increase of 4.3% compared to the previous year, when it reached 59.7%.
“These data place Querétaro as one of the most competitive tourist destinations nationwide, among destinations without a beach,” the state agency highlighted.
The department said that, during the December season alone, there was an influx of 700,000 visitors, as well as an economic impact of approximately 2 billion pesos and a hotel occupancy rate of up to 60%.
