A Canadian tourist was discovered dead inside the Mudra Tulum hotel in Tulum, Quintana Roo. Authorities are investigating the circumstances, with a possible overdose being the main hypothesis.
Initial reports indicate that hotel staff found the unresponsive guest in one of the rooms and alerted the authorities. Municipal Police and experts from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) arrived to conduct the necessary procedures.
During the inspection, evidence suggesting the consumption of illicit substances was found. However, the FGE has not officially confirmed the cause of death, pending the results of the autopsy.
The tourist’s body was transferred to the Forensic Medical Service, and the Canadian consulate has been notified to provide support to the victim’s family.
