Starting this Friday, January 10, 2025, motorists who travel on Mexico’s highways will have to consider a new increase in rates, so you should prepare for a further increase in your expenses.
Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe), announced the new toll costs at various toll booths in our country; a measure that applies to practically all sections managed by the agency.
Only that the amounts vary according to the location and characteristics of each road segment which are managed by Capufe.
Which highways in Mexico will increase in price in 2025?
According to what was reported by Caminos y Puentes Federales de México, the costs of some of the main highways will be as follows:
In 2025, the Mexico-Cuernavaca Highway will rise to $149 pesos, compared to 2024 when it was at $136 pesos; The Cuernavaca-Acapulco Highway section will rise to 640 pesos, from 603 pesos in 2024; the Mexico-Querétaro Highway will reach 216 pesos in 2025, compared to the 204 pesos paid in 2024.
The Mexico-Puebla Highway will increase to 216 pesos, from the 204 pesos paid in 2024. Finally, the Córdoba-Veracruz Highway section will go from 255 pesos to 270 pesos in 2025.
Mexico-Cuernavaca Highway: $149 pesos
Mexico-Querétaro Highway: $216 pesos
Mexico-Puebla Highway: $216 pesos
Cuernavaca-Acapulco Highway: $640 pesos
Cordoba-Veracruz Highway: $270 pesos
La Rumorosa-Tecate Highway: $103 pesos
Mendoza-Cordoba City Highway: $41 pesos
Tehuacán-Oaxaca Highway: $299 pesos
Torreón-Saltillo Highway: $264 pesos.
Where does the money paid at the toll booths go?
According to Capufe, this increase is to maintain and improve the road infrastructure of its highways; however, in the daily use of the main communication routes in Mexico.
