Federal security forces located a tunnel in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, that crosses the border from Mexico to the United States.
The discovery was located in the area of Boulevard IV Centuries, where, after carrying out security tours in response to citizen complaints, they found the tunnel.
The entire Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico participated in the operation, in coordination with the State Investigation Agency of Chihuahua.
Between 2022 and 2023, 50 percent of the weapons seized were pistols, while 33 percent were rifles.
According to the authorities, they gave notice to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to carry out the corresponding procedures with the United States government.
For now, the place has already been secured and sealed so that the tunnel cannot be accessed while the corresponding investigations advance.
