Five men were arrested in Tecomate de la Noria, Mazatlán, after being caught with an arsenal that included 15 long weapons, 110 magazines, 6,951 cartridges, a grenade launcher, three grenades and tactical equipment.
In addition, six vehicles were seized, three of them with homemade armor, along with drugs and radio communication equipment.
In the operation, two men who were deprived of their freedom were rescued and received support to file their complaint.
The intervention occurred during a security tour, when elements of the armed forces and police corporations detected a property where several people were carrying long weapons.
The agents proceeded to inspect the site, achieving the arrests and the seizure of the weapons.
Among the confiscated objects there was also a bag with marijuana and four bags with white powder, presumably cocaine.
The detainees were transferred, along with the seized material, it will be the Public Ministry, which will define their legal situation.
It was Omar García Harfuch himself, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of Mexico, who reported on the operation through his “X” account.
