Starting this Saturday, Chetumal will host one of Oaxaca’s most iconic celebrations: “La Guelaguetza.” The event, held in Lázaro Cárdenas Park, also known as La Alameda, offers attendees an immersive experience in Oaxacan culture.
Running from January 11 to 26, the festival features a wide variety of crafts, traditional Oaxacan cuisine, and artistic performances that promise to delight the entire family. The event is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., providing both locals and tourists the opportunity to explore the cultural and gastronomic offerings in a festive and colorful atmosphere.
La Guelaguetza, celebrated for its diversity of Oaxacan communities, arrives in Chetumal as a cultural bridge between two regions rich in traditions.
