Qatar Airways has launched its private Qatar Executive service at Tulum International Airport, offering flights from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Jorge Molina, the director of Tourism Promotion for the city council, announced that the first flight arrived from London on December 28.
Molina explained that after an exploratory visit by airline executives, the inaugural flight was completed at the end of December. He emphasized that Tulum’s inclusion in the Qatar Executive flight network highlights the growing interest of international travelers in this destination, known for its natural beauty, stunning beaches, and rich cultural heritage.
This new route is expected to enhance Tulum’s appeal as a luxury tourism hotspot in the Mexican Caribbean. The airport, located in the Mayan jungle, continues to attract international tourists, particularly those seeking an exclusive, high-end experience.
With the arrival of Qatar Airways, the flow of travelers is anticipated to increase, benefiting both the tourism sector and the local economy. “We hope that more travelers from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia will arrive through this airline, which has just launched its executive taxi and private jet service, considering TQO airport an excellent vacation option for high-income travelers,” Molina said.
Celebrating its first anniversary, Tulum International Airport has exceeded expectations, becoming the second busiest airport in Quintana Roo with over 1 million passengers and 8,500 air operations.
