Two fugitives from Tabasco, wanted for drug dealing, possession of weapons for the exclusive use of the Army, and homicide, were apprehended in Yucatán. The arrests were carried out by the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), in collaboration with their counterparts from Tabasco.

The detainees, identified as Bruno G. M., alias “Choki,” 29, and Antonio L. E., 35, are both originally from Tabasco. Bruno G. M. was arrested in connection with drug dealing crimes that occurred on July 13, 2020, in the Las Mercedes subdivision of Villahermosa, Tabasco. He was caught buying and selling narcotics and also faces federal charges for carrying weapons and cartridges for the exclusive use of the Army. He is known as the leader of a violent group in Tabasco and has an extensive criminal record, with conflicts involving other criminal groups in his home state.

Antonio L. E. is charged with the qualified homicide of Natividad G. T., 24. According to the accusations, Antonio L. E. arrived at Natividad’s home in a vehicle with tinted windows, took out a firearm, and shot him, resulting in his death.

The Yucatán authorities have handed both individuals over to their counterparts in Tabasco, who will present them to the control judges that issued the arrest warrants.
