Los Cabos is gearing up for the arrival of up to 50,000 students for the Spring Break season in 2025, an increase of 5,000 compared to the same period in 2024. This influx is expected to generate a direct economic impact of approximately 30 million dollars.

Robbinn Hernández, president of the Association of Professionals and Business Leaders, shared in an interview with Diario El Independiente that despite challenges in the tourism sector in 2024, the outlook for Spring Break is positive. “Los Cabos is known for its luxury Spring Break experience. This year, we are bringing up 50,000 students and have expanded to two more states and two more universities. The VIP 2500 plan, which includes stays in luxury hotels, will boost the influx of visitors and economic impact,” Hernández stated.

Hernández noted a decrease in student arrivals in other Mexican destinations like Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, while Rosarito, Baja California, and Los Cabos have seen an increase. The 50,000 students expected in Los Cabos have already made their reservations.

In the United States, markets such as Florida and New York have grown compared to the previous year, with Los Angeles and Arizona maintaining a steady flow of tourists.

To enhance the Spring Break experience, Los Cabos plans to offer a variety of activities and events. Mornings and afternoons will feature musical events at hotels, while evenings will host theme parties and concerts in Cabo San Lucas. Businesses will be decorated to provide a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

“The image we project abroad, our demonstrated security, and our ability to compete with any destination have maintained and increased tourism. The students we attract now are the future tourists who will return as adults and parents, drawn by the natural beauty of Los Cabos,” Hernández concluded.
