On March 23, the Querétaro Women’s Half Marathon Zibatá 2025 will be held, an athletic competition consisting of distances of 5, 10 and 21 kilometers, an exclusive event for women of our entity, who will once again dress the main streets of the city in pink.
This edition will have the Free Women’s and People with Disabilities categories, reiterating that there is a quota of 7 thousand runners, of which 3,500 are expected in the half marathon distance, while the other 3,500 participants would be distributed between the other two distances, which can be from our entity, as well as from neighboring states.
Vanesa Garfias, from the Women’s Secretariat of the municipality of Querétaro, reiterated that it is important for women to participate in this type of event, especially in March, when Women’s Month is commemorated, so they hope that this will be a great incentive for more women to sign up.
“As you know, the topic of sports, especially when we talk about marathon runners, and the history of women in marathons, is not so far away, more and more women are participating in marathons, we encourage this from the Women’s Secretariat of the Municipality of Querétaro, we want to continue encouraging the sports theme in women.”
Regarding registration, Vergara Lobato pointed out that it will be 650 pesos plus service charge, which can be done at http://runtime.mx, so they invited all women to register and be part of this sporting event, in which there will also be cash prizes for the first places.
The organizers also pointed out that this is a Pet Friendly race, so they can run accompanied by their pets, to create a better atmosphere and so that those who are used to running accompanied by their dogs can do so without any inconvenience.
The presentation of the Race was headed by Vanesa Garfias Rojas, accompanied by María Guadalupe Barbosa Suárez, representative of the Municipal Sports Secretariat, Mauricio Vergara Lobato of the organizing committee and the president of the Queretaro Athletics Association, Ángel Moreno Silva, who gave details of what this edition will be like.
