Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros inaugurated in the municipality of Ixtenco the monumental letters that give identity and shine to the Magical Town, as well as the placement of children’s games for the healthy recreation of minors.

“I am happy that Ixtenco begins to shine, that today it is a Magical Town, and that fills us with pride, not only those who were born here, that is why those letters are more than just letters, those letters mention the people where they arrived: to Ixtenco, and that is important to me,” emphasized the state leader.

She explained that during her administration, 112 million pesos have been invested in an extraordinary way in works and social support in said municipality. In addition, the launch of the Intercultural University of Tlaxcala allows the demarcation to stand out for its history and roots.

Representing the Secretary of Infrastructure (SI), Diego Corona Cremean, the Director of Public Works, Eduardo Hernández Tapia, explained that the works consisted of the construction of hydraulic concrete pavement, placement of seven letters with 1.5-meter-high light, with base, supply and acrylic logo at the main access of the Huamantla-Zitlaltepec and Ixtenco-Huamantla highways, with an investment of one million 72 thousand pesos, through the Peso a Peso program, and which will benefit more than 7,400 inhabitants.

Later, at the inauguration of the area with children’s games, in the San Antonio Primero neighborhood, the head of the local Executive highlighted that “I have told presidents to think about relevant works, such as auditoriums, municipal presidencies, gymnasiums, sports units or other works, since it is very difficult for a municipality to do them, but with the support of its government it is easier.”

Before the residents, he reiterated his commitment to support the 60 municipal presidents with high-impact works through this year’s Peso a Peso program, in which the city council contributes 50 percent and the state administration invests the other 50 percent. “We are waiting for the technical files to start these actions.”

In his message, the director of works of the Infrastructure Secretariat (SI), Eduardo Rubén Hernández Tapia, pointed out that this work reflects the commitment to the development of dignified, modern and accessible public spaces for all ages with an investment of 921 thousand 733 pesos through the peso a peso program.

He specified that more than 1,710 inhabitants are benefited and “will be able to enjoy these spaces that promote physical activity, sports and recreation; therefore I invite you to use them responsibly, since the government makes an effort to build these spaces, therefore we must take care of them so that our children can enjoy them for a long time.”

Finally, Mayor Miriam Aline Lazo Caballero stated that this day is very special because they are witnesses of an achievement that reflects the joint effort of the different levels of government and reiterated her willingness to join forces for the transformation and progress of Ixtenco.

“Here you can see the hope and trust that our people have placed in the authorities. I want to thank the governor for her commitment to the development of our municipality, which inspires us to continue working with dedication and commitment,” she said.

The event was attended by residents of Ixtenco, who recognized the importance of beautifying their municipality, since, being a Magical Town, it provides a better image for its visitors, who come to see the physical place, as well as its traditional pickled vegetables, and the variety of corn that the municipality has.
