The Mexico-Puebla-Veracruz passenger train is not included in the Mexico Plan that President Claudia Sheinbaum presented for her six-year term.
This plan, which was announced by the president during a visit to Puebla, is not included in the Mexico Plan document, nor in the original and extensive version that e-consulta had access to.
One of her plans is the construction of passenger trains, which include 8 routes, which will have a length of 5,645 kilometers passing through 24 states, with an investment of 1,240 million pesos, and the generation of 3.6 million jobs.
However, these 8 routes do not include the Mexico-Puebla-Veracruz route, which was one of the promises she made during her campaign and that last November she announced that the existing freight railways would be reviewed to make this route a reality.

However, in the document this passenger route was not taken as a priority by the federal government, leaving it out; These are the eight routes that are contemplated:
Mexico – Nuevo Laredo
Mexico – Nogales
Mexico – Pachuca
Mexico – Querétaro
Querétaro- Irapuato
Saltillo – Nuevo Laredo
Interoceanic Train Line K
Maya Train (cargo)
They also forget IMSS San Alejandro

Another of the projects that are not mentioned in the Mexico Plan for Puebla, neither in the first version of this document nor in the final stage, is the San Alejandro Hospital or the Amozoc Hospital that was promised since 2019.
Although the first of them is already making progress in its construction, it is not indicated when it can be inaugurated, since this date has been postponed on more than three occasions.
In the case of the Amozoc Hospital, there is only the property that was donated by the municipality in 2021, but this plan does not indicate that resources will be allocated for its construction.

What other projects are planned for Puebla?
The first version of the Mexico Plan also mentions other projects that can be carried out on Puebla lands, including its Wellbeing Poles plan for the construction of 100 new industrial parks in the country.
Although it is not mentioned how many can be carried out in Puebla and the final version does not detail this in this way, it is indicated that there is an area of 462 hectares, where projects in the following areas can be developed:
Automotive and electromobility
Agribusiness
Textile and Footwear
Energy
Aerospace
Chemicals and petrochemicals
Consumer goods
Also in the highways, the program of artisanal roads was contemplated, which includes the expansion of the Mexico-Puebla highway at the height of the Amozoc toll booth, but in the final version this was not included.
The only thing that was maintained was the sanitation of the Atoyac River, which is shared with the state of Tlaxcala, and that Puebla will be the headquarters of the Olinia electric car plant.
