Governor Rubén Rocha Moya stated that the Mazatlán Carnival will take place in February, so it will not be suspended.
The state governor stated that the port will be sealed off with the presence of more federal forces and a special operation will be deployed.
Rocha Moya said that he communicated with the Secretary of National Defense, General Guillermo Briseño Lobera to finalize details.
“We are going to take care of Mazatlán’s security, we are going to protect it for the carnival, we will surely have more personnel, we are already prepared for an operation,” he stated.
Governor Rocha Moya stated that they are going to promote the holding of this international event, to guarantee that more visitors attend.
