Querétaro plans 5 million inhabitants by 2050

Mauricio Kuri González, Governor of Querétaro, during the presentation of the Querétaro 2050 Plan, highlighted that by that date, the population is expected to grow to between 4 and 5 million inhabitants, which will bring with it an increase in the demand for services in various sectors.

Kuri assured that Querétaro is on the right track, he acknowledged that population growth will present challenges, but he highlighted the importance of the state moving in the right direction to offer a prosperous and habitable environment for all.

Luis Antonio Rangel Méndez, Secretary of Planning and Citizen Participation, explained that the preparation of the Plan involved civil society through workshops, forums and meetings, reaching 300 thousand homes. The Plan covers six strategic vocations: circular economy, education, logistics, aeronautics and aerospace, tourism, and advanced technology, with an emphasis on innovation and data centers.
