Three men executed in Oaxaca, including a transport leader

The capital of Oaxaca woke up with three executed, among them, the leader of transporters of the Alliance of Unions and Associations of the State (ASAEO) of Xoxocotlán, Caleb Rodríguez Ortega and two of his bodyguards, confirmed the Attorney General of Oaxaca.

According to what was established in the investigation file for the case, the lifeless people were located during the early hours of this Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the parking lot of a commercial establishment located in the former Hacienda Candiani, in Oaxaca de Juárez.

The victims are three adult males, who were identified as Uriel G. M., Carlos A. R. L. and Caleb R. O., while the investigations carried out by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Attention to High Impact Crimes are still ongoing.

In this case, the Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out specialized work on high-impact crimes to obtain sufficient information to find who is responsible for these events.

With the murder of Caleb Rodríguez Ortega, a transport leader and former candidate for the municipal presidency of San Pedro Pochutla, there are three attacks against transport leaders in the last three months, events that have not been clarified in the government of Salomón Jara Cruz.

The other two cases are the one that was perpetrated on Thursday, November 7, 2024, when an armed group attacked the transport leader, Marco Antonio Sánchez Cruz, at the El Che Gaucho restaurant in the Reforma neighborhood in the capital of Oaxaca, which left six dead.

Then, on December 23, René Balderas, former leader of the Youth Confederation (Catem Joven), was shot on federal highway 190 near San Francisco Lachigoló, leaving two people injured.
