Playa del Carmen is set to host the 2025 edition of the Neon Caribbean Carnival, a highly anticipated event in the Riviera Maya. The carnival will take place from February 26 to March 3 in Playa del Carmen, and on March 4 in Puerto Aventuras.
In 2024, Playa del Carmen received significant recognition, being named one of the best national tourist destinations by Tripadvisor and nominated as the Main Beach Destination in Mexico. This paradise, known for its beaches, mangroves, cenotes, and lagoons, also boasts rich cultural and artistic heritage.
The Neon Caribbean Carnival will feature various routes starting on the famous 5th Avenue of Playa del Carmen. The event promises to be a delightful experience for both locals and tourists, with traditional coronations of the king and queen, a parade of allegorical floats, and an extensive cultural program including music, dance, comparsas, and performances by various artists.
The main stage for the carnival will be Plaza 28 de Julio, making it an excellent reason to visit this beautiful part of the Riviera Maya. Additionally, Playa del Carmen will host concerts by renowned bands such as Antidoping, Liran Roll, Arianna Puello, and Curawaka.
