The governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez, celebrated in recent days the investment and attention in infrastructure works for the entity as part of the projects that make up the National Infrastructure Program, among them the modernization of 317 kilometers of the Toluca-Zihuatanejo highway, it is known that the rehabilitation will have an investment of 18.5 million pesos.

The project consists of the expansion of the Toluca-Zihuatanejo highway and the restoration of the Alameda Oriente vehicular bridge, for her part Delfina Gómez, mentioned her gratitude to the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, on social networks, she also highlighted that derived from this work in the entity more than 55 thousand jobs will be generated.

The works on the Periférico Oriente vehicular bridge are due to the damage caused by earthquakes in past years, its attention represents a benefit for the inhabitants who travel from the State of Mexico to CDMX.

Through a statement, the Ministry of Mobility of the State of Mexico, highlighted that President Claudia Sheinbaum considers this work on the highway a project to improve travel between the state and Guerrero, as well as between the Valley of Toluca and the south of the State of Mexico.

The road work will also be contemplated for other states of the Mexican Republic, including Baja California, Mexico City, Colima, Guerrero, Morelos, Nayarit, Tlaxcala, Sinaloa, and Veracruz.
