Meteorologists forecast the weather by collecting data from various sources, such as land and sea weather stations, satellites, radars, and weather balloons. These instruments measure variables like temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, wind, and precipitation. The data is entered into complex computer models that simulate atmospheric behavior, applying physical and mathematical laws to predict its evolution. Meteorologists analyze these model results, combined with their experience and knowledge of local climate, to produce forecasts expressed in terms of probability, covering different time scales from short-term (hours) to seasonal (months).
