In the afternoon, a passenger bus collided with a trailer in a north-south direction, resulting in one fatality and at least six injuries. This tragic crash led to slow traffic from the early hours, with Google Maps indicating over two hours to reach the municipality of Solidaridad.
By 6:00 p.m., the traffic congestion extended to Puerto Morelos, prompting authorities to open a lane in the opposite direction to alleviate the vehicle load.
