In an operation in Mexico City, authorities dismantled drug warehouses and arrested four members of the Sinaloa Cartel.
Mexico City, January 23 (SinEmbargo).- Authorities in Mexico City managed to capture four people linked to the Sinaloa Cartel in the municipalities of Xochimilco and Iztacalco.

During the searches, several drug warehouses were dismantled and various quantities of narcotics and weapons were seized.

The Secretary of Citizen Security of Mexico City, Pablo Vázquez Camacho, reported that the action was the result of detailed investigations that allowed the identification of a criminal cell dedicated to the sale and distribution of drugs in the aforementioned areas.

The detainees were identified as José Luis “N”, Karla “N”, Samuel “N” and Valeria “N”.

In the first operation, carried out in Xochimilco, a warehouse with 200 doses of cocaine, 150 doses of marijuana and several firearms was found.

In another search in Iztacalco, two men and a woman were arrested, and 180 doses of methamphetamine and 300 grams of marijuana in bulk were seized.

The authorities seized firearms, cell phones and important documents. The detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, while the properties were placed under police guard.

This operation, in which the Secretariat of Citizen Security, the Attorney General’s Office and the National Guard participated, represents a hard blow to drug trafficking in Mexico City.
