Astronomical events are any natural phenomenon that occurs outside the Earth’s atmosphere, and for this 2025 from Sonora one of them will be able to be witnessed.
The important event that will be seen in Sonora is a lunar eclipse predicted for next March, shared astronomer Pablo Loera.
The only one of this relevance that we will have, that will be seen in Sonora, as it is easy to observe, will be the lunar eclipse of March, on the night of March 13 to 14 we will have a lunar eclipse that will be visible.
Another phenomenon that will be recorded this year is a solar eclipse, however, it will not be able to be seen in the Sonoran entity, it would be visible only in Canada.
The specialist from the University of Sonora said that the March event may be easier to observe, because when it is recorded during the night, it is not as difficult as those that happen during the day.
The lunar eclipse, well, you don’t have to do anything more than go out on the night of March 13, when the eclipse will be most noticeable later in the night. The moon is getting darker when it enters the shadow of the Earth, and you don’t need anything special. It will be just a full moon like any other, except that throughout the night it will get darker and then it will regain its normal brightness when it comes out of the shadow of the Earth again. And you can see it outside your house, patio or wherever.
He reiterated that more astronomical phenomena are expected until next year, although lunar eclipses are the most frequent.
On the 23rd and 24th, the community is invited to see the planets Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the Orion Nebula through a telescope, as well as talks about planetary alignments, stars and space exploration.
And on the last two days of January, the 30th and 31st, the same phenomena can be observed, but also the crescent moon. There will also be a talk at 5 p.m. about the astronomer Galileo Galilei and a workshop on how to use the telescope.
These observations will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a cost of $50 for general admission and $25 for minors.
