You Can Guanajuato will finance entrepreneurs and businesses

This Tuesday, the financial institution “Tú Puede Guanajuato” was presented, which seeks to reverse financial exclusion, provide financing and support to the sectors most neglected by traditional financial institutions.

“To all micro, small and medium-sized companies, I say: you are not alone; our commitment is that you have someone to lend you a hand, if a bank does not give you credit, here we do give it to you and we bet on the economic growth of Guanajuato through the people who work the hardest, which are you,” said Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, governor of the State.

Tú Puede Guanajuato starts with resources for 400 million pesos, 375 million pesos for financing and 24.5 million pesos for support.

“This is a very big step that we are taking to strengthen your projects, to strengthen your ideas, to help you achieve each of your goals,” said the Governor.

During the launch of this program in the Main Plaza of Purísima del Rincón, García Muñoz Ledo explained that they seek to promote financial inclusion in Guanajuato, providing accessible economic and financial support to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (Mipymes), benefiting entrepreneurial women seeking economic independence; young people and entrepreneurs who require initial capital; producers of the primary sector; and people from rural and vulnerable localities.

“These credits are designed to be truly accessible, here we are not going to ask you for complicated or difficult procedures to complete. You do not have to be account holders, or pay insurance, or pay very high interest, because sometimes due to the need we have we get into debt with those who abuse the need that families have,” said García Muñoz Ledo.

Among the supports are financing with accessible conditions; economic support for productive projects; and incentives for merchant and taxi associations.

For this year, the goal is to benefit 2,705 economic units with financing and 3,500 people with non-refundable financial support.

And at the end of the administration, it is expected to reach 16,230 financings and 21,000 non-refundable supports.

Tú Puede Guanajuato has nine programs: Tú Puede, Lealtad, Confiamos en ti, Estamos Contigo, Alcanza tu Sueño, Evoluciona, Progresa, Renueva tu Taxi, and Tus Ideas Valen.

These programs grant credits from 10 thousand pesos to 3 million pesos to be paid from 24 biweekly to 60 months with interest rates from 6.75% to 15% with incentives of 2% and 3% at the end of the credit for punctual payment.

The financial institution also provides Guanajuato residents in vulnerable conditions with the financial support “We Believe in You” for up to 7 thousand pesos, for a single time only, so that entrepreneurs can start their business.
