18,000 Doses of Crystal Meth and Fentanyl Seized in Mérida

The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) of Yucatán reported the seizure of 7,200 doses of crystal meth and 10,800 doses of fentanyl at a shipping company in Mérida.

The drugs were seized during an operation at a shipping company located south of Mérida. Elements of the K9 Unit identified a suspicious box, prompting a review. The review confirmed the presence of 7,200 doses of crystal meth and 10,800 doses of fentanyl, all packaged and ready for distribution.

The package, which originated from Mexico City, was seized and handed over to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) for further investigation. The SSP Yucatán expressed gratitude for the courier company’s cooperation and the coordinated efforts of the authorities, emphasizing the importance of working together for safety.

The SSP Yucatán urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to 911 for immediate attention.
