Governor Rocío Nahle García has confirmed her participation in the La Candelaria festivities, known as the Celebration of Love, Sound, and Legacy, on February 2. This event is one of Veracruz’s most emblematic celebrations, renowned for its cultural richness and tourist appeal.
In an interview with La Voz Amiga de Cosamaloapan, Governor Nahle emphasized that the region is an ideal destination for both national and international visitors. She highlighted her administration’s efforts to promote this festivity more widely.
“Tlacotalpan is already a well-known tourist destination, but we are enhancing its promotion to ensure more people experience this significant celebration,” she said.
The main traditional activities include horseback riding, the bullfighting reservoir, the pamplonada, as well as the Mañanitas and the Paseo de la Virgen. These events are conducted with a focus on respect and animal welfare.
“These celebrations are deeply rooted in our culture, and we have made significant progress in ensuring they are carried out responsibly,” Governor Nahle added.
Governor Nahle reiterated her commitment to preserving traditions and promoting tourism as a key driver of economic development in Veracruz.
