According to municipal authorities, Alejandro “N”, who has dual nationality, had been hiding in Orizaba for 3 years. He was wanted by American authorities, who issued an arrest warrant for involuntary manslaughter against him, after he allegedly murdered a young woman named Alexus Lien Nguyen, 17 years old.

On September 14, 2022, Alejandro “N”‘s parents and brother were arrested for obstructing the arrest of the young man. At the beginning of 2025, a search and reward file was issued for anyone who provided information on the whereabouts of the alleged person responsible for the murder of Alexus Lien Nguyen.

Following his arrest in the state of Veracruz, Alejandro “N” was handed over by the Municipal Police of Orizaba to the authorities of the United States Embassy in Mexico and to the National Migration Institute, where a judge will determine his legal status according to the laws of the country in which he is accused of murder.
