A video circulating on social media shows members of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) beating a young man in the Macro Plaza of Puerto Vallarta.
So far, the reasons why he was detained and assaulted before being released are unknown.
In the recording, a woman who allegedly documented the incident asks the soldiers not to beat him, but they continue with the aggression. Other people present suggest uploading the video to social media to denounce the actions of the soldiers during their operations in the city.
Another young man, visibly upset, shouts insults at the soldiers, accusing them of abuse of authority.
So far, the Mexican Army has not issued an official position on the case. In the video, you can see how the elements lift the young man from the ground while several people ask them to stop the aggression.
