A pickup truck from Texas, United States, was recovered in an operation by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Puebla, the Ministry of National Defense, the National Guard and the Ministry of Citizen Security, with a theft report.
According to the file, this vehicle was replaced on several occasions, as part of the way of operating of those who are dedicated to stealing cars.
It is presumed that procedures were carried out for the SUV Jeep Grand Cherokee type truck in other states, before going to the unit in Calpulalpan on November 20, 2020.
The report indicates that, at the time, whoever carried out the procedure complied with all the requirements, such as circulation card, validation of ownership, consultation with Repuve Entities, INE of the owner of the unit, home loan, CURP, vehicle invoice with the legend “new”, re-invoice in the name of the owner and validation of CFDI, as well as certificates of no infraction by license plate and card.
When consulting the Repuve Entidades and Consulta Ciudadana on January 30, 2025, differences are observed, since in the first one there is no theft report, while in the second one the report is made.
The Tlaxcala Mobility and Transportation Secretariat (SMyT), where these procedures are carried out, indicated that the event occurred in the previous administration; however, no anomaly was detected in the records.
The agency announced that it will support federal authorities in the investigations that are required and reaffirmed its commitment to work in accordance with the law, as well as with the transparency and anti-corruption policy established in this state government.
