Just as it did 69 years ago, San Miguel de Allende renews a religious tradition for Candlemas Day and celebrates it in a very special and ecological way, within an atmosphere of celebration and family togetherness.

The 2025 Candlemas Fair began on January 31 and will continue until February 16 at Zeferino Gutiérrez Park, which is the scene of an exhibition and sale of plants, flowers and ornamental trees that aims to promote ecological culture and love for nature.

Nurserymen from this municipality and from various regions of the country await these dates to present offers of gardening products and other activities such as workshops, conferences and cultural activities are held.

The opening ceremony was attended by municipal authorities, as well as exhibitors and visitors who took the first tour of the colorful halls full of ornamental and decorative species.

This ecological Fair is expected to be very visited, there are also artistic presentations and activities to do in family togetherness.

The Candelaria Fair has been a benchmark of San Miguel’s identity, as it unites history, culture and nature in the same space and those who attend can take home a little piece of San Miguel in the form of flowers.
