An accident at kilometer 197 of the Durango-Mazatlán highway left two tourists injured, one of them in serious condition.
It was said that they were traveling with a group from Durango to Mazatlán for vacation, when the accident occurred.
Personnel from Caminos y Puentes Federales arrived at the scene to assist those affected, while elements of Civil Protection and Firefighters from Concordia supported the rescue efforts.
The crashed unit suffered considerable damage.
Agents from the National Guard Highway Division took note of the incident and carried out the corresponding expert appraisal.
Unofficially, it was said that one of the injured was the person driving the vehicle at the time of the impact.
So far, it is unknown to which hospital the victims were taken.
The crashed unit was removed from the site and taken to a boarding house.
