Benito Juárez City Council Reorganizes Street Vendors on Tulum Avenue

The Directorate of Commerce and Service on Public Roads of the Benito Juárez City Council has undertaken a reorganization of street vendors on Tulum Avenue, near Plaza las Américas.

According to Jesús Ayuso, head of the department, 18 vendors were relocated, reducing the number of merchants in the area to an average of nine. This strategy aims to prevent the saturation of vendors and maintain a balance between commercial activity and pedestrian comfort.

Most vendors in this area offer food, making it a popular spot due to the high foot traffic from people using public transportation routes in Cancun. The reorganization seeks to ensure that the commercial offerings do not overwhelm the space and that pedestrians can move comfortably.
