A blockade on the Mexico-Querétaro highway will be carried out on Friday, February 7, 2025 by residents of the El Paraje Fimesa neighborhood, in the municipality of Tultitlán, in the State of Mexico (Edomex).
A letter is circulating on social media announcing the blockade at the Mexico-Querétaro toll booth, near Tepotzotlán.
The residents of the El Paraje Fimesa neighborhood, in its three sections, warned that it will be a peaceful demonstration where they plan to block or release the toll booth.
Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, but we can no longer tolerate any more abuse from these authorities of the Tultitlán City Council,” the text reads.
Why the blockade on the Mexico-Querétaro?

According to the circulating letter, the demonstration will be due to the fact that the agreements to prevent the imposition of the name of the Fourth Transformation colony have not been fulfilled.
Meanwhile, they claim to be against the change of name to the streets, such as:

Basic basket.

In our community of El Paraje Fimesa 1, 2 and 3, the Tultitlán City Council has demolished the houses of some neighbors and has detained us arbitrarily and illegally, but we will no longer allow it, no matter what confrontations with the police may cost,” they emphasized.
Impacts in Edomex

The statement details that it will be at the toll booth of the Mexico-Querétaro highway where the blockade or release of the highway will take place.
However, there are calls to walk on the side lanes of the highway, from Tultitlán to the Tepotzotlán toll booth, in order to create a larger demonstration and for the authorities to address their complaints.
Although the time was not confirmed in the released text, some say that the protest is expected to start at 12:00 hours, heading towards Tepotzotlán.
