The Morena member Gerardo Fernández Noroña, president of the Senate, said that instead of asking for the resignation of the Governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha, a consultation should be held to recall his mandate so that the people can decide whether he should continue.
According to the legislator, the Morena governor of Sinaloa would abide by the result of said consultation.
“If (they want) a recall process, the recall process is carried out and (if) the people say by majority that there should be a change, the first one who would respect it would be our colleague Governor Rocha Moya,” said Noroña.
Senator Saúl Monreal, also from Morena, asked the people of Sinaloa to support the actions implemented to combat insecurity.
“There have been raids, there have been arrests, but crime and criminal groups were so deep-rooted. I hope that in the coming months the issue of Culiacán will stabilize,” he indicated.
