The president of Mazatlán, Estrella Palacios Domínguez, regretted the acts of violence that occurred on Wednesday evening in at least three sectors of the city.
She assured that the security strategy is being reinforced with more patrols to guarantee peace in the city.
“We are working together with the federal and state security forces to reinforce security in Mazatlán. We are in constant meetings at the peace building table to review everything that has to do with security in Mazatlán,” she said.
On the other hand, Palacios Domínguez mentioned that they are analyzing the situation of the two invasions on federal lands, in the El Infiernillo estuary and Bonfil Park.
“They are being analyzed to verify the real situation, what is the legality, certainty that can be given to people so that they have better living conditions,” she said.
The mayor announced that the report on the first 100 days of government will be presented on February 14, which will include this issue, as well as 20 paving projects, among others.
“We have made progress in the process of legal certainty, an important issue in this government, and we will present the results there. Currently, there are 250 procedures to provide certainty to families in different settlements,” she indicated.
Hours after this statement, a person was murdered in the Flores Magón neighborhood.
